IMPORTANT TRAFFIC RESTRICTION NOTICE FOR THE NATIONAL DAY
Dear Valued Guests,
Please be informed that from August 21 to September 2, traffic restrictions and road closures will be implemented across several central districts of Hanoi. These measures are in place to facilitate rehearsals and the official parade celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (A80).
Given the potential impact on travel within the city center, especially near Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, we suggest allowing extra time and planning your routes carefully.
1. Traffic Restriction Schedule (please note the extended hours):
- Rehearsals
- August 21, 11:30 – August 22, 03:00
- August 24, 11:30 – August 25, 03:00
- August 27, 11:30 – August 28, 03:00
- Final Rehearsal
- August 29, 18:00 – August 30, 15:00
- Official Ceremony
- September 1, 18:00 – September 2, 15:00.
2. Affected Routes
a. Complete Traffic Ban (No vehicles permitted)
This strict lockdown area covers Ba Dinh Square – the main parade venue.
- Streets affected include: Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (Hung Vuong – Van Cao section), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Thanh Nien, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Chua Mot Cot, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Yen Phu, Cua Bac, Doi Can, La Thanh, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (Le Duan – Quang Trung section), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (Hai Ba Trung – Trang Tien section), Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (Ly Dao Thanh – Trang Tien section), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (Ly Thuong Kiet – Trang Thi section), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (State Bank Square – Trang Tien section), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, and Lang Street (Lang Ha – Tran Duy Hung section).
b. Temporary Restrictions
- All non-priority vehicles will be banned from entering Ring Road 1.
- Heavy trucks and coaches were restricted within the area from Ring Road 1 to Ring Road 2.
- Private cars, motorbikes, and minibuses (under 16 seats) are strongly advised to limit travel between Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3.
- Outbound routes such as National Highways 32, 21A, 6, 18, and major urban arteries (Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Thang Long Boulevard, Vo Nguyen Giap) will also be affected.
3. Travel Routes from the Airport to the Hotel and Vice Versa
- For vehicles with up to 16 seats and motorbikes: Vo Nguyen Giap – Nhat Tan Bridge, then take Vo Chi Cong – Buoi – Dao Tan – hotel.
- For vehicles with more than 16 seats: Vo Van Kiet – Thang Long Bridge – Pham Van Dong – Hoang Quoc Viet – Nguyen Van Huyen – Nguyen Khanh Toan – Dao Tan – hotel.
4. Recommendations for Guests
- During traffic restriction periods, we kindly advise guests to limit movement and remain within the hotel premises whenever possible.
- Transportation services (including taxis, Grab, Xanh SM, etc.) will be restricted or suspended in areas near the hotel during the above time frames.
- For any travel requirements, we recommend reserving transportation at least 12 hours in advance through our Concierge Desk.
- For guests with flight schedules:
If your departure is in the evening, please leave the hotel before 16:00 or at least 4 hours prior to your flight.
If your arrival flight is scheduled during traffic restriction periods, please contact our Concierge Desk via concierge@daewoohotel.com at least 01 day in advance for travel arrangement support.
